I love to fish + hunt + craft + cook + snowboard and have always dreamed of having my own sled team. This is my first year learning the trade and working with my dogs on the sport of skijor. Its been a fun ride so far and I cant wait to see where it takes us!

“My wonderful family”

Bio/Hobbies:

My dog sled addition started when I moved to the Bitterroot valley and met Nicki Arndt. She invited me to bring my 3 Siberian huskies to the trailhead. She loaned me a lead dog and sled and we were off. The rest is history.

Other hobbies include running, camping, knitting, playing guitar and hanging out with my family. My dog Buck and I are currently attempting to make the US team for the IFSS World Dryland Championships in canicross, which I love because it's a wonderful mix of my two greatest hobbies dog powered sports and running!

It all started when I saw a used dog sled in the classified ads. I thought it would be fun to try it with my two dogs. I soon found out that I loved it, but needed more dogs. At one point, we had 42 dogs in our kennel, and I have completed two Race to the Sky 350, two Eagle Cap 200, and numerous 100 mile races. I am now slowing down and running five ten year old litter mates.

Bio/Hobbies:

I started out mushing when fostering rescue dogs. I needed an exercise outlet that Northern Breeds excelled at. As I came to learn more about the sport, my appreciation for purpose-bred Alaskan Huskies grew. We now bikejor and skijor recreationally (at the moment most of our dogs are enjoying couch retirement), and look forward to a long future of growing in the sport while passing it down to my daughter.
